A good teacher never stops being a student. I can count on one hand the amount of remarkable teachers I’ve had throughout my life, and although they may be few in number, the impact they have left on me has been tremendous. I only hope to be able to do the same for those that allow me to teach them. I’ve been submersed with art since I was a kid, and I’ve been playing guitar for 17 years. I love to experiment with different drawing techniques and many mediums, such as charcoal, colored pencil, and collage. Along with art and music, philosophy and physics keep my mind curious. I just recently (2024) graduated from Northern Illinois University (NIU) with a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Physics.

This Summer I have had the pleasure of working for a few S.T.E.M. companies that offer weekly camps for children. One thing is certain— I’ve learned just as much as I’ve taught. From making video-games and digital beats, to building egg-drop cars and earth-science experiments, the most important thing that I have learned about myself, is that I want to continue to feed curious minds. In an ideal scenario, I’d love to travel the world to teach art and philosophy, specifically.

My journey has been long, and it’s not over yet. I hope it can serve as inspiration for those that find learning, or the words school or college, overwhelming. Just know that when you do something for yourself, and with passion, it makes the stress all the easier to manage.
